TINY RASCALS - TERMS & CONDITIONS

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE

 

  • Hirer must be present at the venue at the time of delivery and collection. We will not deliver without the hirer being present. 

  • The hire period, as well as delivery and collection times are agreed at the time of booking and must be adhered to. If you are not available at the dedicated delivery time, we may not be able to deliver, but you’ll be liable for the full costs of the hire. Delays to delivery/collection will be charged at £35 per hour. 

  • Tiny Rascals will not deliver any equipment without the final balance being paid in full prior to the event date.

  • The hirer is responsible for the care and security of all soft play equipment, whilst in their possession. Theft or damage to any equipment whilst in the hirers possession will be charged accordingly.

  • It is the hirer’s responsibility to check in advance the dimensions required for the equipment, and to provide a suitable area, clean of mess, debris and animal foul. The ground must be level and be easily accessible for delivery. If on arrival we deem the area unsuitable, we reserve the right to refuse hire and you will be liable for the total hire costs. 

  • Unless confirmed otherwise all bookings will be indoors. Please inform us at the time of booking if you intend to have the equipment outside. 

  • Whilst the equipment is in the hirer’s possession and control, they are fully liable for any injuries. Tiny Rascals cannot accept responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using our equipment. Accidents must be reported in the relevant accident book, including dates and accounts of what occurred and signed by the injured third-party representative.

  • Please ensure that all children are fit and well to use the equipment. Any child who feels unwell should be removed immediately for the safety of the child and others.

  • The hirer will be deemed to have inspected the equipment and any accessories following delivery and set up, and will have agreed that it is supplied in good condition unless otherwise brought to the attention of Tiny Rascals.

  • If we are unable to provide your delivery due to adverse weather, vehicle failure, illness or any other factor, we will inform you of this at the earliest possible opportunity.

  • At the time of collection, please ensure equipment is returned to an authorised member of the Tiny Rascals team. The hirer will be liable for replacements and costs if the equipment is given to anyone else, please contact us if unsure. 
     

SOFT PLAY – TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE AND HIRE 

 

  • Children should not be pushing, colliding, fighting, wrestling, or behaving in a manner likely to cause injury, damage or distress to others or the equipment. No throwing soft play equipment at any time. 

  • Soft play equipment is suitable for children under 5 years of age. No adult or child over the age of 5 are to use any of the soft play equipment. 

  • A responsible adult, over the age of 18, must supervise the equipment and children using the equipment at ALL times. 

  • Strictly NO SHOES, no food, no face paints, no sweets, no pens, no water or any sharp objects to be used on or near our soft play equipment. Please ensure all footwear, jewellery and glasses are removed prior to entering the soft play area. Socks must be worn for hygiene reasons.

  • No smoking on or within close vicinity of our soft play equipment.

  • STRICTLY FORBIDDEN - FACE PAINT, GLITTER, PARTY POPPERS, CONFETTI, STREAMERS or SILLY STRNG ARE NOT ALLOWED ON OR NEAR THE EQUIPMENT AT ANY TIME. The dye from these items can stain the equipment and can’t be removed. New or uncoated denim can also stain items. The hirer will be responsible for any damage caused and will be liable for any cleaning charges or replacement of equipment, if any of these objects are used on the soft play equipment. 

  • The hirer prior to collection of the equipment must collect Ball pool balls. Failure of this requirement will result in a £25 collection charge. Soft play pieces must be placed back in the original set up location ready for collection, including ALL balls in the ballpit.

  • Soft play equipment is thoroughly cleaned, checked and sanitised between every hire. Please keep the soft play equipment in as clean state as possible, this helps to protect the longevity of our equipment. Overly dirty equipment when being collected will incur a £25 cleaning charge.

  • Please note that any misuse or damage upon return will result in all or part of the deposit not being returned. Any greater damage to the equipment caused by misuse, neglect, loss or failure to follow these conditions, shall deem the Hirer liable for full repair or replacement costs. 


 

INFLATABLES (BOUNCY CASTLE) – TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE AND HIRE

It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to the inflatable. Please ensure the following Safety Instructions and guides are followed:

  • All shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges MUST be removed before using the Inflatable. Socks must be worn for hygiene reasons. 

  • No food, drinks or chewing gum to be allowed on the Inflatable. This is to avoid choking and damage. 

  • STRICTLY FORBIDDEN - FACE PAINT, GLITTER, PARTY POPPERS, CONFETTI, STREAMERS or SILLY STRNG ARE NOT ALLOWED ON OR NEAR THE EQUIPMENT AT ANY TIME. The dye from these items can stain the equipment and can’t be removed. New or uncoated denim can also stain items. The hirer will be responsible for any damage caused and will be liable for any cleaning charges or replacement of equipment, if any of these objects are used on the inflatable. 

 

  • Please note, if the inflatable is collected in an overly dirty condition, this will incur a £25 cleaning fee. Any greater damage will be charged for accordingly, the Hirer will be liable for full repair or replacement costs as necessary. 

  • No pets, toys or sharp instruments are allowed on the Inflatable

  • This unit has a user height limit of children up to 1.2m tall. Hirer must ensure user height meets these criteria. Hirer must also ensure no more than the recommended number of users are allowed on the inflatable at any one time. Avoid large and small children using it at the same time. Adults must not use the inflatable. 

  • A responsible adult (18+) must supervise the inflatable at all times when in use. Alcohol or any other substance use is forbidden whilst using or supervising the inflatable. 

  • Inflatable equipment will be fully secured to the ground at all times during use as per the manufacturer’s recommendations. The hirer must ensure the unit remains intact and should regularly inspect the inflatable and its anchorage for any signs of loosening. In the event of failure, all users are to be safely removed and the inflatable restored to a safe position. 

  • Weather conditions are to be monitored, taking the inflatable out of use, when wind speeds exceed 24mph. Heavy rainfall should result in the inflatable being taken out of use and electrical equipment unplugged. If the equipment can be moved, it must be taken to a dry location.

  • The blower is to be checked regularly to ensure it remains in place. In the event of loss of pressure, the operator must check no rubbish is restricting the fan from its operation. No member of public should have any access to the blower or its electric sockets. Seams and zips must be monitored for any tears.

  • The hirer will be deemed to have inspected the equipment and any accessories and will have agreed that it is supplied in good condition unless brought to the attention of Tiny Rascals when erecting the inflatable.

  • Ensure that the area around the unit is completely clear at all times. 

  • Do not allow anyone on the equipment during inflation or deflation.

  • Climbing, hanging or sitting on walls of the inflatable is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed. Running from side to side on the bouncy castle is also not allowed. 

  • Ensure children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to cause injury or distress to others. Somersaults/acrobatics are strictly forbidden as these are very dangerous on this type of equipment. 

  • Ensure that no-one uses the inflatable that has a history of back or neck problems, or any other medical condition which could be aggravated by using the inflatable. 

  • In the event that the blower stops working, please ensure all users get off the inflatable IMMEDIATELY. 

  • The inflatable should not be used if it becomes wet on the jumping area. In the event of rain, the inflatable should not be used. 

  • Do not allow children around the back of the inflatable unsupervised.

  • Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step.

  • No smoking, fires or barbeques near or within an unsafe distance of the Inflatable

  • Never unplug the bouncy castle or move its position from the designated area after it has been set up. Do not touch the anchor points. 

  • Tiny Rascals will only set up inflatables on grassed or indoor areas. Inflatables will not be set up on tarmac or hard outdoor surfaces. 

BOOKING FEES, CHARGES & CANCELLATIONS 

 

  • A £60 deposit is required to secure your booking and is payable at the time of booking. No dates or equipment will be held until the deposit payment has been received. The deposit will be held until after we have inspected our equipment and accessories post event to ensure there is no damage or excessive dirt. 

  • If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible over email at info@tinyrascals.co.uk. Tiny Rascals reserve the right to retain the deposit payment for any cancelled bookings. Cancellations within 7 days of the event date will be liable for the full costs of the booking. 

  • Cancellations for adverse weather situations will NOT be refunded. If your event is outdoors and you have failed to inform us, Tiny Rascals reserve the right to cancel, and the hirer will be liable for the full costs. The hirer is responsible for having a back-up plan in place in case of adverse weather conditions (indoor space, marquee cover etc.). In cases of extreme heat, our equipment will need to be set up in a shaded area, or have some shelter e.g., gazebo. We will not set our equipment up outdoors if the ground is wet, rain is forecast, or there are high winds. We cannot operate bouncy castles in winds of 24mph or higher. 

  • Tiny Rascals reserve the right to cancel any booking where there is a potential health and safety risk to the hirer, their guests or the public. We operate a common-sense approach in regards to weather conditions. Please bear in mind that after equipment is installed, weather condition changes may make the equipment unsuitable for use. It is the Hirer’s responsibility to keep an eye on the weather any restrict use as necessary. 

  • Excessive dirt will incur a £25 cleaning fee per unit (e.g., £25 per bouncy castle/soft play set hired). Any misuse or damage to equipment will be charged accordingly. The deposit will be refunded to you within 48 hours of the event date so long as there is no damage or excessive dirt. Full payment for the booking is due 7 days before the event date.

DISCLAIMER AND DECLARATION

 

Please note that ALL persons using this Tiny Rascals equipment do so AT THEIR OWN RISK. 

 

The hirer will be responsible/liable for any damage or injury occurring from or as a result of misuse, neglect or reckless use of the equipment hired. 

 

These terms and conditions of use are for the safety of all people using this equipment, and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are fully adhered to at all time. We cannot accept any responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using this equipment. 

 

These are the Terms and Conditions of Hire of Tiny Rascals. Please read these carefully and sign at the bottom to signify that you acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions. Upon delivery of our equipment, the hirer agrees to the Terms and Conditions contained within this document.
